Preliminary 2.8 Quake Rattles the South Bay

A preliminary 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck the South Bay Monday night, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The epicenter was reported 5 miles from the Alum Rock neighborhood in San Jose at 11:55 p.m.
