Police activity shut down Highway 92 at Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward for about an hour Thursday, causing heavy traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The highway was closed in both directions from about 9:45 a.m. to about 10:40 a.m. from Jackson Street to Hesperian, blocking access between the San Mateo Bridge and Interstate 880, the CHP said.
Police did not immediately provide a reason for the activity or the closure.
