Both directions of U.S. Highway 101 near Gilroy are open again Monday after a tanker truck and fuel was cleared from the roadway, officials with the California Highway Patrol said.
As of 8:54 p.m., Highway 101 at Masten Avenue was open following the crash and spill of fuel, CHP officials said.
The crash was reported just before 11:30 a.m. on Highway 101 just west of Coyote Lake.
California Department of Fish and Wildlife personnel were called at the scene, according to the CHP.
A hazardous materials team was deployed to offload the flammable liquids to a different tanker.
