Police Warn of Calls From Person Claiming to Be Oakland Police Officer

Someone is calling people from the Oakland Police Department's youth services division and asking for money in a scam, police said Friday.

The caller is calling from 510-238-3641 claiming to be an Oakland police officer and asking for money to remove the recipient from a call list.

Police said this is a scam and police will not ever call someone and ask for money.
