Salacious Sex Tape Swing in Lockyer Scandal

As if there wasn't enough drama over the liasions of Nadia Lockyer, a sex tape is now involved.

Sex. Lies. And now: videotape. Or DVD.

Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer is the subject of a sex tape between her and a lover, a tape handed to Lockyer's husband, state Treasurer Bill Lockyer, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Nadia Lockyer made the news Feb. 3, when she was reportedly assaulted at a Newark motel room by a former lover of hers. The late-night meetup was initially not painted as a tryst gone wrong, though that appears to be what it was.

It had begun long before then, however, back when Nadia, 40, was in rehab for alcohol use. It was there that she met a man in rehab for meth use, the newspaper reported. They began a liaison, and a scandal was born.

The tape was made by the lover, an unidentified 35-year old, in case Nadia tried to break off the relationship, the Chronicle reported.

Bill Lockyer saw both the tape, a string of text messages between his wife and the man, and some X-rated photos on her computer. He told authorities that she was being stalked by an ex-boyfriend in an attempt to get the two apart, but it became clear to investigators that Nadia and the man were in a consensual relationship, according to reports.

Sources also told the Chronicle that it was Nadia Lockyer who invited the man to visit her at the Homewood Suites in Newark on the night of Feb. 3, and that she then attacked him for allegedly being with another woman.

This all adds up to embarrassment for Bill Lockyer, who was attorney general before becoming state Treasurer.
