Two Small Earthquakes Rattle Danville: USGS


Two small earthquakes rattled Danville Sunday, a magnitude 2.8 in the morning and a 2.5 in the afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first temblor, which was centered in the area of Morninghome and Park Hill roads, struck at 6:34 a.m., according to the USGS. The second one hit in roughly the same area at 3:23 p.m. 

Two smaller quakes — magitude 1.6 and magnitude 1.2 — also hit the same area within minutes of the 2.8 magnitude earthquake, according to the USGS.
