San Francisco International Airport's baggage claim area of Terminal 1 was evacuated Wednesday afternoon due to a suspicious package, officials said.
Police at 11:45 a.m. received notice of a suspicious package near the terminal. A bomb squad was called to the scene and investigate the package at 1:05 p.m.
Officials said package did not contain an explosive and later cleared the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
