More than 58,000 readers participated in the magazine's survey, which rated U.S. Cellular as the No. 1 cell provider with 82 points. AT&T was dead last with a cumulative score of 60 points. The second-to-last carrier, T-Mobile, scored a 69.
In the carrier's defense -- as the Wall Street Journal notes -- AT&T has spent $2 billion this year to strengthen its network. The company and its bandwidth have been under constant criticism since partnering with Apple as the exclusive iPhone service provider.
