Tennessee's governor signed a law Thursday permitting the state to use the electric chair when lethal injections aren't available, The Associated Press reported. The state hasn't executed an inmate since 2009 due to shortages in lethal injection drugs. A poll conducted by Vanderbilt University found that 56 percent of registered voters in the state supported the measure.
