Daniel Mengden dominated the Phillies for nine innings Friday night on the road, giving the A's a 4-0 road win in Philadelphia.
Mengden threw his first career complete game, allowing just two hits while striking out seven.
At the plate, Matt Joyce (24) and Matt Olson (19) both went yard.
The A's are now 65-82 on the season.
