Kristian Ipsen took a five-month break from diving and worked for a start-up company in Calif. after winning a 3m springboard synchronized bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics with partner Troy Dumais. At the 2015 World Championships, he partnered with Sam Dorman to finish seventh in the synchronized event.
