Steph Curry Sends Message to ‘legend' Sabrina Ionescu, Ducks Before Final Four

Sabrina Ionescu is a living legend, and if you don't believe us, just ask Steph Curry.

Ionescu, the Oregon Ducks star guard who has taken college basketball by storm, has a fan in the Warriors star. The two hung out after the Warriors' played the Portland Trail Blazers in December, with Curry dubbing her the "walking triple-double."

The Walnut Creek, Calif., native has had quite the junior season for the Ducks. Ionescu set the NCAA career triple-doubles record this season, passing BYU guard Kyle Collinsworth's mark of 12 set during his four-year stint in Provo, Utah. The junior guard averaged 19.9 points, 8.2 assists and 7.5 rebounds this season while leading the Ducks to a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Ionescu and the Ducks rolled through their opening two games before dispatching of South Dakota State in the Sweet 16 and holding off No. 1 Mississippi State to advance to the first Final Four in program history. Ionescu dropped 31 points on 12-of-20 shooting in the win over Mississippi State, and Curry gave her and the Ducks a message before they take on No. 1 overall seed Baylor in the Final Four.

"Keep doing it," Curry said. "She's an unbelievable talent and her team's blazing a new trail for their program. Why not go win it all? She's a living legend in her own right."

No doubt about that.

"That was going in regardless. No the other way to say it," Ionescu said after the game. "At that moment in time, I didn't want it to go to overtime. I didn't want to give them anymore opportunities to score. I was also pretty tired. Let me hit this and walk off to the Final Four."

Absolute legend.
