Hide your couches. Rumor has it that Tom Cruise is moving to San Francisco.

A home in San Francisco's famed Sea Cliff neighborhood is rumored to have been purchased by the "Mission Impossible" star.

A tipster, who claims to be informed, tells SocketSite the house at 300 Sea Cliff Ave. sold for $18 million on Sept. 10 to none other than Tom Cruise. The real estate blog says it confirmed the sale price but has not been able to confirm Cruise's involvement in the deal.

Cruise wouldn't be the first movie star to live in the neighborhood. Sea Cliff is already home to Robin Williams and Cheech Marin. Sharon Stone used to frequent the area and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett still resides there.

Is this Tom Cruise's new home?

And the home is probably large enough for the actor's ego. The 19,277-square-foot house was built in 1938 and designed by Julia Morgan, who was the mastermind behind the Hearst Castle.

The house was on the market for a long time before going through an $8 million overhaul. It now has two wine cellars, "numerous terraces," and a north and west waterfront. The home also features views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands.

As long as Cruise stays out of North Beach he should find San Francisco a pleasant place to raise Suri.
