Skype for iPad Gets Released, Pulled

If you've been waiting patiently for the special iPad version of Skype, you needed to be quick on the trigger Monday night. Because just a few hours after the app went live, Skype went ahead and pulled it.

It's not clear what the hiccup is, or how long it will last, but a Tweet from Skype read "To ensure your best Skype experience, we've temporarily removed Skype for iPad which went live prematurely today."

In the meantime, you can still use the iPhone version of Skype on an iPad, although it doesn't make very good use of the iPad's larger screen size. Then of course there's always FaceTime.

The app eventually went live, shortly after Skype announced that the app was live again but did not explain what was different from the pulled back version.
