Plot Thickens in Possible TomKat Move to the City

Rumors continue to swirl that Tom Cruise is moving to San Francisco but a new twist emerges

Updated 10:54 AM PDT, Mon, Nov 9, 2009

Rumors are flying that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have bought a home in San Francisco's exclusive Sea Cliff neighborhood on the down low. But did a Bay Area billionaire bad boy keep the TomKat show from invading the Bay Area?

Real Estate blog SocketSite floated a tip they got last Friday that the 5-bedroom home at 300 Sea Cliff Ave. was purchased by Mr. Katie Holmes himsef for $18 million.

But the site that first published the rumor also wondered whether its tipster was "pulling our leg."

In any case, The Real Estalker has discovered that the buyer is one Tawaraya LLC, a high-end accounting firm in Walnut Creek,   that serves "a small number of ultra high net worth individuals."

Is this Tom Cruise's new home?

A few contortions of logic later, and the blog suggests that the buyer might also be Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. The firm advises Ellison.

Don't keep us so hot in anticipation, truth diggers! Robin Williams wants to know who his new neighbor is too.

The plot thickens! (Though given the $18 million price tag on the house, that shouldn't be surprising.)
