Body of Missing Bay Area Hiker Found

The body of a missing Northern California hiker has been found.

Authorities say 31-year-old Thomas Heng went missing after signing a register at the summit of Mount Langley, which rises to 14,026 feet on the boundary of Inyo and Tulare counties in Sequoia National Park.

The San Rafael man, an experienced hiker, was last seen just after noon on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Times says his body was found Wednesday night. There are no details.

Helicopters and crews from Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Yosemite National Parks had been searching for Heng.
