San Jose Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who slammed into a 9-year-old boy and his father walking to school Monday morning.

It's the fourth hit and run this year where somone was seriously injured or killed, according to The Mercury News.

The pair were walking in a crosswalk at Story Road and Adrian Way on their way to Goss Elementary School just before 8 a.m.

Police say they had a green light.

Police are looking for a silver or gray Nissan Sentra heading east on Story Road, but they do not have a description of the driver.

The boy sustained a serious head injury and was knocked unconscious. His father's leg was injured.

The boy is in serious condition but is expected to survive.
