This giant duck art car was first brought to Black Rock City in 2008. This return trip to Burning Man was the "maiden voyage of a world tour," according to the duck's handlers David Shields of LA and Alan Davis from Vegas, pictured here talking with Media Mecca volunteer Katie Eldridge.

More Burning Man, you say?

Done.

The epic desert festival will run for 10 days this year, according to SFist.

Organizers at Black Rock City say the decision for more burn was an easy one: there's just too much traffic streaming in and out of the Nevada desert for a short burning fling.

Burners will be able to play on the playa from August 25 to September 1.

And for playa haters, that means more time to themselves in a San Francisco devoid of Burners, as the Bold Italic observed.
