A 22-year-old Gilroy woman has been arrested for stabbing her boyfriend late Saturday night, according to police.
Officers responded to reports of a fight between a man and a woman in the 8000 block of Church Street at about 11:55 p.m., according to Gilroy police.
Arriving officers found a man who had been stabbed multiple times in his upper torso. He was airlifted to a local trauma center where he remains in stable condition, police said.
Preliminary information at the scene indicated that the man was attacked by his girlfriend, Gilroy resident Brenda Ramirez, police said.
Ramirez was arrested without incident and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for attempted murder and domestic violence.
