A man shot backstage at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View after a Wiz Khalifa concert on Friday night has died, Mountain View police said.

Police identified the victim as a 38-year-old man but are yet to release his name.

Wiz Khalifa was scheduled to perform in San Diego Saturday night, but an update on the Ticketmaster website shows the event as being canceled.

Police are looking for a suspect in Friday's shooting described by witnesses as a man in his 20’s with short hair, between 5’6″ and 5’8″ tall. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a black top with perhaps white pants along with a red baseball cap. The weapon fired during the shooting appears to be a black pistol with a large magazine, police said.

Auriana was back at Shoreline Saturday night, but this time for the Rascal Flats concert.

Despite what happened Friday night,  he said he does not have concerns about his safety.

"Because I feel it was one incident," Auriana said. "I have been here many times this summer and last summer, and I feel pretty safe."

Detectives are hoping concert goers using social media will help them track the suspect down.

"A lot of this stuff is captured on cell phones and posted to YouTube or Instagram, so we want to see any video before, during, or after," Mountain View police spokeswoman Shino Tanaka
