Oakland Named Top West Coast Food City By USA Today

Oakland has been named the top West Coast food city by USA Today.

The East Bay city has landed at No. 7 on a top 10 list compiled by USA Today's Best10.com. It's the only West Coast city in the top 10.

The article specifically namechecked The Cook and Her Farmer, Cosecha Café and Miss Ollie's, all located inside Oakland's Swan's Market on Washington Street.

Minneapolis-St. Paul was anointed as the best locale to eat in the country.

The accolade follows Bon Appétit's proclamation that San Francisco is the best food city in the nation, with the best new restaurant.
