San Jose Police: No Foul Play in Death of 7-Month-Old

NBC Bay Area

The San Jose Police Department homicide unit is investigating the death of a 7-month-old boy.

Police were investigating the death of a 7-month-old baby Tuesday morning at a home on Makati Circle in South San Jose near Blossom Hill Road and Monterey Highway.

The San Jose Police Department’s Homicide Unit was on the scene and determined there was no evidence revealing any sign of foul play.

The death is believed to have occurred accidentally while the baby was asleep, police said in a release.

Someone at the apartment complex called 911 around 1:15 a.m. to notify police that the baby was unresponsive. It is not clear if it was the boy’s parents who made the call, but by the time police arrived the boy was dead.

No arrests were made in connection to the baby’s death.
