Berkeley is suppose to be the home of liberal thought, where everyone is free to express their opinions.

But that doesn't mean the East Boy town is free of hate. The house of prominent rabbi and activist Michael Lerner was vandalized with anti-Semetic graffiti for the third time in a year.

Vandals pasted posters of a "Nazi carrying away a Jew," according to a press release issued by Tikkun, Lerner's magazine.

The attack comes just hours after the magazine celebrated its 25th anniversary. Berkeley police took down the posters and are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
