Each person who tuned into the flight on Periscope (or, to a lesser degree, the similar streaming app Meerkat) meant one fewer person who ponied up $100 for the highly anticipated fight, believed to be the richest-ever purse in boxing history. "Periscope won by a knockout," Chris Sacca, a Twitter investor, tweeted after the fight.
