Bruce Bochy knows walks — on and off the baseball field.
Walks are both a great source of exercise and refuge for Bochy, no matter how his team is performing.
"Every city I go to, I get away, particularly after a game that didn't go well. I can say, 'I don't wanna sit in the bus. I'm gonna walk back by myself.' It is still kind of my therapy, I guess," Bochy said in a 2013 interview with San Francisco Magazine.
Bochy told the publication, outside of his regular walks up and down San Francisco's waterfront, he thinks that Cincinnati and Milwaukee are two of the best Major League walking cities.
The book's cover highlights Bochy's regular hometown route, from AT&T Park to Fisherman's Wharf.
