Super Bowl Sunday Forecast

The day is starting off looking a bit more like a morning in June with areas of low clouds spreading inland from the coast. Some drizzle is possible near the coast and peninsula early in the day before skies trend partly cloudy later on. For inland areas we should see mainly sunny skies around midday. With a little more sunshine around compared to Saturday, our highs should be slightly warmer running in the low to mid 60s inland with some 50s to low 60s closer to the inner bay. Not much change is expected through Tuesday then around midweek a reminder we re still in Winter begins heading our way. A very chilly area of low pressure drops in late Wednesday into Thursday bringing rain back to the Bay Area with temperatures dropping into the lower 50s for highs. Snow levels will be dropping around this time as well to at least as low as 3,000 feet if not slightly lower into early Friday morning. As this system appears to be taking on a somewhat inland path and due to its colder nature, rainfall totals don t look to be too excessive mostly .25 to .75 across the region. But the widespread cool highs near 50 and lower 50s will no doubt get everyone s attention especially after the last few days with highs well into the 60s to near 70 at times. Enjoy your Sunday and go 49ers! Rob Mayeda
