Videocast: Unsettled Weather Continues

This videocast begins with a report from Mt. Hamilton with NBCBayArea's Stephanie Chuang as snow levels began dropping around the Bay Area on Saturday.A very cool airmass continues flowing into the region, helping to drop snow levels down into the 2,500 to 3,000 ft. range and set the stage for another day of convective showers that may contain ice pellets and/or small hail assoc. with thundershowers. Its looking like moisture will begin decreasing as this trough of low pressure begins sliding eastward later on Sunday, so showers should begin shutting down by sundown on Sunday we look to stay mainly dry for Monday - except for the North Bay where a few more passing showers are possible. With relatively weak high pressure to the west, we'll see another system toss some showers our way for Tuesday and another likely around Thursday. We may see another fairly wet and windy pattern setting up for next weekend depending on the placement of a new West Coast trough of low pressure - so stay tuned, it does seem even as we move into Spring we'll still be playing catch up in the rainfall and Sierra snowfall department this week.Enjoy your Sunday! - Rob Mayeda
