Weekend Showers, Weekday Warmup - NBC Bay Area

Weekend Showers, Weekday Warmup

Chilly temperatures are starting off Saturday morning with lows in the 30s and 40s in the North Bay and East Bay valleys! We'll see increasing high clouds by the afternoon with some rain due in after sundown into early Sunday.Unlike our Friday system that dropped .25" to 1" of rain and more than a foot of snow in the Sierra, this system should be faster moving and pack less moisture so totals are expected to stay below .25" for most locations and skies should clear by Sunday afternoon.High pressure will build in strongly early next week, promoting a round of gusty north to northeast winds that will rapidly dry our hilltops from recent rains and possibly introduce some fire danger issues by midweek. Temps will rise nearly 20-30 degrees warmer as well going from highs in the low 60s on Sunday to mid 80s to low 90s by Wednesday in the valleys! - Rob Mayeda
