The Dodgers will do just about anything to beat the Giants right now, since wins versus losses against their hated rival could very well decide whether they make the playoffs or not.
The all-or-nothing attitude extends to the ballboys too, apparently. Because one young fella gave the maximum effort on Monday night when he went after a Buster Posey foul ball.
This youngster gets an A for effort -- not only did he dive into the stands to retrieve a foul ball that wouldn't actually have produced an out, but he also, as Big League Stew notes, appears to have used his glove to avoid hurting any of the fans in the stands at the time.
The added bonus of this young man being a piece of comic relief for a team that's already clinched the playoffs is something worth noting as well.
