Join Nikkei Angel Island Pilgrimage to rediscover the little-known history of the Japanese American legacy at Angel Island, where 85,000 persons of Japanese descent - the second largest immigrant group detained on the island- landed between 1910 to 1940, before setting foot in America.

The schedule is designed to allow a free flow of activity during the day. Participants can visit the immigration Station exhibits, see displays on the Japanese and Japanese American History, engage in genealogy research, learn about community history and what various organizations are doing.

When: Saturday, October 1

     Time: 11 a.m, to 3 p.m.

Where: Immigration Station at Angel Island State Park
