Giants Vs. Reds Delayed 18 Minutes by Bees at Great American Ball Park

No, not the bees! Not the bees!

Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati went full Wicker Man on Monday morning. The Giants and Reds were set to square on in the series finale, but the scheduled 9:35 a.m. PT first pitch was delayed by an 18-minute bee delay.

Yes, you read that correctly. A bee delay.

As bees took over the park, Reds outfielder Derek Dietrich, who isn't in Monday's lineup but has four home runs in three games this series, came to the rescue.

The game finally started at 9:53 a.m. PT with a Joe Panik pop out to Reds shortstop Jose Iglesias.
