2 Injured After Stolen Vehicle Crashes Into Parked Truck: Police

Two women were sent to the hospital Thursday after crashing a stolen vehicle while trying to flee from police in San Francisco.

A California Highway Patrol officer stopped the pair for a traffic violation at the intersection of Loomis Street and Oakdale Avenue, police said. The officer determined the vehicle was stolen and then approached the car, asking the driver to get out.

Police said the driver then put the vehicle in reverse, ramming the officer's patrol car before driving away.

The suspect vehicle made it about a block away from the officer, who did not pursue the car, before crashing into a parked box truck, police said.

The officer was not injured.
