A portion of Highway 84 in Woodside was shut down temporarily after two bicyclists ran into each other.
San Mateo County spokeswoman Rebecca Rosenblatt said a man and a woman on their bicycles, both in their 50s, ran into each other on the highway at La Honda Road and Friars Lane just before 11 a.m. Monday. The highway shut down between Skywood Way and Portola Road and was expected to reopen sometime in the afternoon.
The bicyclists were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
