A 5-year-old boy in need of a heart transplant who had been allegedly taken without permission by his father has been found.
The Chicago Tribune reports that Porter Stone was found Safe in the Chicago area with his father and grandmother, who were both taken into custody.
Authorities say his father, Jeffrey Stone, had taken the boy from a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was awaiting a heart transplant.
Jeffrey Stone allegedly took his son, police said. The father is reportedly in a custody dispute with his ex-wife, the newspaper reported
