Exploring New Talents: Soccer Players Help Make History on Menlo Cross Country Team

Menlo High School has qualified for its first State Cross Country Championships thanks to soccer players who recently turned into long-distance runners.

The team, which came in 15th at the championships, is made up of six freshmen and two upperclassmen.

"I've never run cross country, not even in middle school," freshman Cameron Boom said. "I really ended up enjoying it so much. It's been so beneficial for soccer."

Senior Eliza Crowder said she was so thankful to be able to run on a full team this year thanks to the soccer players and everyone contributed to getting the team to where they are today.
