The California Highway Patrol has shut down one lane of Interstate Highway 780 in Benicia while firefighters respond to a small fire in the area.
The fire was first reported at about 10:50 a.m. near eastbound Highway 780 and Southampton Road, CHP Officer James Evans said.
No injuries have been reported, though a portion of the roadway remained blocked by emergency vehicles as of noon, Evans said.
