Police say the driver of this UPS vehicle fled from his vehicle after encountering a shootout between two groups of people, Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.

A UPS driver in Oakland got quite a scare when he apparently drove through a gun battle between two groups of people.

The gunfire made him ditch his truck and run.

Oakland police say it happened Tuesday afternoon on the 3100 block of Linden Street, near the Macarthur Maze.

Upon encountering the shootout, police say, the driver jumped out and ran away on foot.

After dozens of police officers showed up, the driver came back to reclaim his truck and tell investigators what he saw.

No one was hurt and nothing was stolen from the truck.
