El Cerrito police on Tuesday afternoon were asking people to stay away from a block of Central Avenue near the El Cerrito Plaza BART station.
As of 3:43 p.m., police activity was occurring in the area of Central Avenue between Everett and Norvell streets and police are asking people to avoid the area until further notice.
