San Francisco Police Ask for Help Identifying Muni Assault Suspects

The San Francisco Police Department wants community members to help them identify five people involved in an assault that happened last month on a MUNI bus.

Police said the men in the video were drinking beer on the bus when one of them threw a bottle at a passenger.

The attack that happened on July 24 was unprovoked, police said.

Although investigators said they have great sound and footage of one suspect, they are asking the public to help identify the other men.

"We were able to identify one of them. It’s just a matter of time before we arrest him. We are hoping the public can help us figure out who the other five are," Officer Carlos Manfredi said.

Police have not been in touch with the victim yet, but they say the suspects were last seen in the area of Fulton and Masonic.
