San Francisco Police Arrest Over 40 People During Pride Celebrations

 The San Francisco Police Department seized at least four handguns during the weekend's Pride celebration, according to police activity statistics released Sunday morning.

On Saturday, officers arrested 10 people on suspicion of public drunkenness in the downtown area. Also, there were an additional 16 arrests for public drunkenness in the Mission District, police said.

Three people also were arrested on suspicion of committing felonies while nine were arrested on suspicion of misdemeanors, according to police.

One person was reportedly arrested on an outstanding warrant and 13 others made use of a "sobering center" at the direction of police.

One person was arrested on suspicion of a robbery in Dolores Park and three juveniles were arrested on suspicion of possessing M-80 fireworks, police added.
