San Francisco's First Applebee's Lands on Fisherman's Wharf

Cioppino, seals, crab -- and Applebee's.

The latest addition to Fisherman's Wharf is America's neighborhood restaurant, Applebee's, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The location is at Taylor and Jefferson Streets, and it's huge: 400 seats, according to the Chronicle's Inside Scoop food blog.

The restaurant does come with a dollop of disappointment along with its legendary as-seen-on-TV dishes -- not every special advertised on TV is available, the blog reported.

That said, there is a late night happy hour with half-priced items from 9 p.m. to midnight, and 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends.
