Suspect Sought in Copper Wire Theft at VTA Light Rail Station in San Jose

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's office is asking for help in identifying a suspect in a copper wire theft that occurred early Friday morning at a San Jose VTA station.

Copper wire valued at more than $10,000 was taken from the Santa Teresa VTA light rail station around 3 a.m., according to sheriff's office officials.

Investigators have released surveillance footage of a suspect and suspect vehicle seen at the station just prior to the theft.
