Teen Hit in Neck by Bullet After Gun Discharges

A boy is in critical condition at a hospital following the discharge of a gun in Pittsburg Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded at about 3:30 p.m. to a home on Chesapeake Drive where the boy was shot.

Based on interviews that police conducted, several teen boys were inside the home handling the gun when it went off. 

Pittsburg police tweeted Wednesday night the boy was in stable condition.
