Double Shooting in East San Jose: Police

Police in San Jose are also looking for a man they say shot two people in a crowded shopping center.

Police say the drive-by shooting happened just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Burdette Drive and South King Road, in the King Plaza shopping center. They are looking for a black male suspect in a tan sedan

San Jose police received a 911 call on Sunday at approximately 1:23 p.m. reporting that shots were fired injuring two people in the vicinity of the shopping center.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located a female and a male suffering from at least one gun shot wound each. 

The victims were immediately transported to a local area hospital and are currently being treated for their injuries.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown. 

San Jose Police are conducting preliminary investigations at this time. The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene and remain at large. No other information is being released at this time.
