About 4,300 electric customers are without power Sunday night in the Fremont and Newark areas, a PG&E spokesman said.
The power went out at 7:10 p.m. and is affecting 4,256 residents and businesses, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
Crews have not determined a cause and until they do PG&E officials do not know when power will be back on.
