A box truck careened off Highway 87 at the First Street offramp in San Jose and slammed into the trees off the side of the northbound lanes Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP shut down two of the lanes and conducted a traffic break as they worked to investigate the accident. A Sig-alert was issued at about 4 p.m.
No further details were immediately available.
