Caltrain officials are set to hold a public meeting on how to deal with the system's deficit.
During a meeting set for Thursday in San Carlos, the Caltrain governing board will discuss reducing midday service to every hour, raising parking fees to $3 a day and increasing what it charges for the annual employer-sponsored Go Pass.
The board will also consider declaring a fiscal emergency.
In an unrelated incident, officials say an unidentified man suffered non-life threatening injuries when he ran onto the Caltrain tracks in Menlo Park Thursday.
A Caltrain spokeswoman says the man was thrown back onto the platform after hitting the side of train.
