Five schools in Santa Rosa will be closed on Monday due to the PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff, the Santa Rosa City Schools district announced.
The closed campuses are Elsie Allen High, Maria Carrillo High, Rincon Valley Middle, Santa Rosa Accelerated Charter, and Hidden Valley Elementary schools.
After-school programs such as athletics and childcare are also canceled at these schools.
Because of uncertainty over how long it will take to restore power, the district is waiting before deciding whether classes will resume on Tuesday.
