Police responded to reports of shots fired and a possible stabbing at 11:19 p.m. Saturday night and found a man profusely bleeding near a house party near Hyde Park and Yellowstone Park drives, Sgt. Eric Tang said.
The man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead around 1:20 a.m. this morning, Tang said.
Tang said it was unclear whether the man was shot or stabbed.
Several people have been detained in connection with the incident, the sergeant said. However no arrests have been made.
Tang said police are also investigating if the stabbing was gang related.
Many of the guests at the party appeared to be teenagers, possibly just out of high school, Tang said.
