Group of Women Arrested in Connection With a String of Burglaries in San Mateo

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office arrested four women Thursday in connection to a string of burglaries all across the Peninsula and San Francisco.

The group of young girls nickednamed the "Rainbow Crew" for their colourful hair, were pulled over for having a broken taillight. Deputy Garcia immediately noticed the smell of marijuana and the car filled with stolen items.

A background check revealed the women matched the description of similar burglary cases with the Daly City and the San Mateo Police Departments.

After giving the police false names, Angelique Kyer, 18, Keyonna Kyer, 22, Sharome Jones, 22, and Ariaunna Shelton, 22, were booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
